  • Colleges for Students with Asperger's: The Friendly Ones: Marcia Rubinstien, an educational consultant, also identified these colleges as offering a supportive environment and personnel experienced working with students with Asperger's Syndrome and other spectrum disorders. A wide range of students might be attracted to the support and caring of these colleges.
  • Colleges for Students with Asperger's: The Very Friendly Ones: These are colleges with identified programs for students with Asperger's Syndrome. Asperger's Syndrome is a term used for students who may have difficulty adjusting to social situations, picking up social cues, and making transitions. Marcia Rubinstien, an educational consultant in Hartford, Connecticut, chose these colleges on the basis of factors such as acceptance of social and learning style differences, a good support system in residence life and academic affairs, easy access to disability support, and trained faculty and staff. Such characteristics might be appropriate for a wide range of students.
  • Colleges Where Students With Learning Differences Succeed: As an expert on learning disabilities programs, Melinda Kopp knows more than we do--we can admit it! She's a Denver-based educational consultant, and she handpicked the following colleges for LD students.
  • Colleges with Accessible Teachers for Students with Learning Disabilities: The professors at these schools don't let anyone fall behind. For that, we think they should get an extra apple on their desk. Did we say apple? We meant a 25% raise.
  • The Experts' Choice: Colleges Where Students with a Learning Disability Succeed: Learning disabilities or not, we're all still going for a naked midnight run through the quad together.

CollegeXpress has seriously helped me out a lot, especially when it comes to scholarships and studying for tests like the ACT. I also really love the financial help. It’s a little harder to pay because I live with a family of eight, so any help is appreciated. Thanks for this opportunity!

CollegeXpress helped me narrow my school choices down from 10 schools to four and then two. It also gave me information on a school I had never heard about or thought about attending until now, which is the school I will be attending in the fall. I am thankful for CollegeXpress and its helpful tools.

As a UK student moving to California due to my dad's job in the military, when I first signed up for CollegeXpress a few months ago, the college process ahead seemed daunting and incredibly stressful. That all changed after I started to explore what this website had to offer. Not only was I helped by the vast array of resources available to me, but through being a CollegeXpress member, there have been so many more benefits. There have been emails with college tips—all of which I found incredibly helpful—as well as invitations to events and notifications of scholarships that'll make college possible for me. Overall, I'm very grateful to CollegeXpress for all of these things and more. Not only have they helped me grow my understanding of the college process, but they've also helped me to grow as a person, giving me new skills that I can take with me through life.

$10,000 Scholarship Winner, 2021

I first discovered CollegeXpress during my sophomore year of high school while researching colleges that interested me. My SAT prep class the following year further familiarized me with the opportunities available through the organization. CX has personally helped me by exposing me to a diverse selection of schools as well as scholarships and life tips that have provided valuable guidance in my college search.

This scholarship will help me adjust to college life without worrying as much about tuition. This gives me more room to truly explore and benefit from all aspects of higher education. I plan to study Conservation Biology and work protecting species/ecosystems. I’m looking forward to getting field experience and seeing firsthand the problems research is solving.
